NEC and Epson have unveiled their fascinating pink Hello Kitty models. While the NEC model sparkles with crystals, the Epson one is more sober and comes with a Hello Kitty monogrammed theme.

The La Vie G Hello Kitty model released by NEC costs $1650. This bejeweled laptop has a 15" screen, 1.4 GHZ AMD Mobile Sempron 3400 processor and a 100 GB HDD. It comes with the Windows Vista Home Premium OS. The laptop is crowned with 299 Swarovski crystals. The crystals are embedded in the four corners of the laptops in heart shapes and in the center Princess Kitty sits in her crowned glory. This model is guaranteed to satisfy the Hello Kitty fanatics.

Epson, along with Sanrio, has come with their latest NH 2100 Hello Kitty Laptop. This laptop is perfect for kids that love to collect and use Hello Kitty items, but it must be said that the laptop itself is anything but child's play. It comes with a 15.4" wide screen, Intel Celeron 540 (1.86GHz) CPU, 1 GB RAM and an 80 GB HDD. This latest Epson Hello Kitty model is also lighter compared to its predecessor, 2.6 kg (compared to the 3 kg earlier version).

It also comes with Windows Vista Home Premium OS and Norton Internet Security. This Epson Pink Hello Kitty laptop is priced at $1410. Targetting those interested in a complete Hello Kitty electronic wardrobe are some really attractive accessories such as, a Hello Kitty mouse and mouse pad as well as a Hello Kitty USB device.

These models have already to proved to be big hits with women and children, especially in Japan. However, they have also drawn major criticism from techies around the world. Most techies believe that Hello Kitty models are over priced and are only good to look at (some don't even agree to them being attractive). They biggest disappoint is that the specs are not too impressive and they doesn't justify the cost. There are many better laptops (Specification wise) in the market at a similar price. But hey, if you love Hello Kitty and are a big fan of ravishing pink, then this is just the model to go and buy!
